[Verse 1] I've got too many letters for a consolation prize. She doesn't meet me where I'm at and I can't read between the lines. There's perfume on the paper and she's twisting out of sight. She's chasing for the stork and I can't buy the time to fly. [Chorus] I've gotten too many letters. Too many letters. Too many letters. Too many letters. [Verse 2] I've got too many hours for her daddy's battered rice. They gather in the crease. And I'm a fool stuck in his pride. She's got a big connection "to finish fate's design, I can't change a cruel deception from this pack, a faded life?" [Chorus] I've gotten too many letters. Too many letters. Too many letters. Too many letters. [Verse 3] In a world to shine a trophy I wished she was my wife, My angry bitter tears won't return a life denied. [Chorus] I've gotten too many letters. Too many letters. Too many letters. Too many letters. Too many letters. Too many letters. Too many letters. Too many letters. Too many letters.

More To Give 02:02
Still I wonder why my tongue becomes so tied, like an awkward clumsy guest, showing off his best. I ain't got no leaning stand, I go surfin' on my tongue. I regret I can regress within a very bad rap? So don't tie me to the bottom of what I say, or the worse that I've done, 'cause I've got so much more to give. Oh she was a friend, her longing knew no end. At school we'd laugh & talk about, how, her senses longed. We spent the summer's breath, racing from the wind. Careless speech couldn't mend, angry hasty, words again. So don't tie me to the bottom of what I say, or the worse that I've done, 'cause I've got so much more to give.

Never Enough 03:43
It's never enough to meet his deal because when that Devil's done, he'll make a different one. You win the game just because you'll play, sacrifice is a lie without sacrificial rite. In child-hood the thrill gets done. The stealer knows the violent one? It's never never never, never, enough. The bully comes. It's never never never, never, enough. and then he goes. It's never never never, his bargain will die. Primarily filled and yet we chose the Id rules, society's blight obsessed with tv light. The devil's done and you meet his deal, he puts down your fate and says, "Times have changed," owe me again. It's never never never, never, enough. The bully comes. It's never never never, never, enough. And then he goes. It's never never never, his bargain will die. Things to blame, we're told to give, again, and again, and again. But where is the freedom that's, outside, of my head? It's never never never, never, enough. The bully comes. It's never never never, never, enough. And then he goes. It's never never never, his bargain will die. It's never never never, never, enough. The bully comes. It's never never never, never, enough. And then he goes. It's never never never, his bargain will die. The deal, is, already, done.

I've got the blues, I've got the blues, I've got the blues. I've got no, Play-bill, I've got no hay-bale, I've got no, "pay bills too." -I've got the blues, I've got the blues, I've got the blues. [Refrain] If I should live this way, put myself to bed? The world never changes, to take the game I play! I've got the blues, I've got the blues, I've got the blues. I've got no, Play-bill, I've got no hay-bale, I've got no, "pay the bills too. " -I've got the blues, I've got the blues, I've got the blues. I've got the blues, I've got no, pay bail, no paper filled with chlorophyll. -I've got the blues, I've got the blues, I've got the blues. [Refrain] If I should live this way, put myself to bed? The world never changes, to take the game I play! I've got the blues, I've got the blues, I've got the blues. I've got the blues. I've got no, Play-bill, I've got no hay-bale, I've got no, "pay bills too." -I've got the blues, I've got the blues, I've got the blues.

Without love, man never try. Without rain, flowers- be dry. Without breadth, Indians cry. Without God, the planet's gonna die. Without milk, baby's will cry. Without doors, workers watch time. Without spin, wheel's don't make line. Without sun, faces wouldn't be bright. Should be easy to see what everyone needs? But we can't learn enough, with this hate on a leash. Should be easy to see what everything needs? Without "hurt?", won't be able to cry. Without time, won't see changes of sight. Without touch, no memories to find. Without darkness, no measuring light. Should be easy to see what everyone needs? Should be easy, but we can't learn enough? Should be easy to see what everything needs, Such a simple thing, because everything needs. Everything needs. Something they want? Should be easy to find, if it's what their looking for? Without love, man never try. Without rain, flowers- be dry. Without breadth, Indians cry. Without God, the planet's gonna die. Without milk, baby's will cry. Without doors, workers watch time. Without spin, wheel's don't make line. Without sun, faces wouldn't be bright.

He was an honest kid with an honest problem, he couldn't tell the truth from all the lies they taught him. There were wrestlers, and jet plane fighters, security guards, and conceited preachers. Then there's one simple rule they wouldn't explain, is that they'll quit coming back if you turn them away. Wrestlers, jet plane fighters, security guards, conceited preachers. Now don't believe 'em you can learn to say no, as we all grow wiser we can learn what's gone wrong. Wrestlers, jet plane fighters, security guards, conceited preachers?

about

This 1986 Recording comprises instrumental, music as well as rock & roll songs.

If the listener can get past the tape recorded lower quality of this album, it is a very satisfying and proficient listen. It will hold your attention, keeping you curiously enthralled, in the feel, this current CD creates.

It is complete in it's form and production. Although this current CD recording sounds far away or distant, if one can enjoy hearing music from outside the club etc, this Recording marks a satisfying result and an advancement for the sake of good traditional jazz & blues with more contemporary subject matter within it's lyrics.

Please enjoy this now CD Recording, as I've gotten many a good listen's in for these songs because I can ignore the distant tape recorded sound that makes the quality but also creates a mood!

Missing Link Us Los Angeles, California

I handed a cassette to then Columbia Artist Walter Egan at The Lighthouse Cafe in Hermosa Beach, CA in 1985. Walter Egan proceeded to record & produce four song ep, receiving airplay on KROQ & college radio. A stronger vocalist was needed. Funding could not be obtained to entice the band members from pursuing other ambition in the; then; very strong business sector, where they remain to this day. ... more
