Any Simple Truth 2018 Recording Missing Link Us - CD "Dave That's Not My Toe!" [Verse 1] Why do we ask if already accused? When you're playing certain games, there's a meaning that you lose. [Chorus] Scream any simple truth you can. [Verse 2] Tell me what you see looks the same to me, we both read the sign. I'll drive, you're free! [Chorus] Scream any simple truth you can. Scream any simple truth again. Scream any simple truth you can. Scream any simple truth again. [Bridge] The clock upon the wall says the world began to fall, so I ran. Into her arms once again to find out where I am, and she can. Any simple truth Any simple truth Any simple truth

Run down the stairs keep searching find your love there. Run down the stairs keep searching find your love there. You've got shelves up above, and dust anywhere, you're spinning like a top. A mule cries in the air. Run down the stairs keep searching find your love there. Run down the stairs keep searching find your love there. Taps hang from the sill, the water pot fetch. The winds send a chill, the walls rattle again. You've got time up above and sky anywhere, she'll be swaying in time and waiting for the birth to be there. ...Shelves up above, ...dust everywhere. Run down the stairs keep searching find your love there. Run down the stairs keep searching find your love there. Run down the stairs keep searching find your love there. Run down the stairs keep searching find your love there. Run down the stairs keep searching find your love there. Run down the stairs keep searching find your love there.

When the journey opens before you. Glowing clouds part in the sky & the crowd that's scattered about you becomes as still as the quiet of night. The shock wave owns you, you know it. Flies above pulls from behind. Now your're a bird spreading it's wing span, shouting in the world as you fly. I've never felt this way before. So Wryta brings you a bushel. You wriggle on the apples to term, The list of your lovers through that quill, the smile's in the courtyard confirm. Your laughter is a sign of your knowledge of what you know and how it occurs. These are the pangs of a flower, no choice as the darkness draws nearer. And like the duty of a harbor at midnight protect the authored life from the flood you come fully dressed for the party the ax falls as you're laughing again. You scream again. I've never felt this way before.

Where I Look At A Perfect Picture Ahh how this happened? Oh, how, it happened? None of us would see. Our photos together, so completely. Where I look at a perfect picture if we cant believe we'd both find more than we could dream. Break the lid on this universe we keep. She keeps shaking shown beneath me, in holograms & green. We both go backward so, & still, our, eyes, may meet. Where I look at a perfect picture if we cant believe we'd both find more than we could dream. I keep it there for her. For her, I will not move this matrix, of perfection, making dungeons she must rule. Where I look at a perfect picture if we cant believe we'd both find more than we could dream. She shouldn't break the lid on this universe we keep. She's shaking shown beneath me, in holograms & green. We both go backward so, & still, our, eyes, may meet. Where I look at a perfect picture. Where I look at a perfect picture.

Things That You Did [Final Mix 1] Missing Link Us 2018 Recording "Dave, That's Not My Toe!" I hate numbers but I seem to remember yours. I caught myself thinking to when, I felt so sure. It's the things that you did. You made me fall in love with you. So far away, don't know if I'll ever let go, of the things that you did. I wanted you so bad, Somebody else got close to you and just convinced you first. It's the things that you did. You made me fall in love with you. So far away, I don't know if I'll ever let go, of the things that you did. I hate numbers but I seem to remember yours. I remember watching how you walked & how I'd listen when I hear you talk. It's the things that you did. You made me fall in love with you. So far away, I don't know if I'll ever let go, of the things that you did. I remember when we couldn't stop laughing, got kicked out of class Such a drag 'cause school days are gone for good these long hot summer days spent thinking of you. and the things that you did... It's the things that you did. You made me fall in love with you. So far away, I don't know if I'll ever let go, of the things that you did

Turn To Your Door [Mix 1] Missing Link Us - 2018 - Recording CD "Dave, That's Not My Toe!" [Verse 1] Still I'm growing without you, it's a vow I keep to myself, to remember the love you gave, so sweet. I close my eyes to the picture strikes my memory, the glowing lovely lantern, of a frame that's so complete, [Chorus] If I could I'd find the turn to your door. I'd kiss the sky, thank the eyes of the Lord. If I could I'd find the turn to your door. I'd keep the key and stand happily on your shore. [Verse 2] It's hard finding a new coat, my old one's soaked with rain, I'm cold and I need a change of heart. Youth is always tainted like a dream that isn't real, I can't remember who I was then, only how you make me feel. If I could I'd find the turn to your door. I'd kiss the sky, thank the eyes of the Lord. If I could I'd find the turn to your door. I'd keep the key and stand happily on your shore. If I could I'd find the turn to your door. I'd kiss the sky, thank the eyes of the Lord. If I could I'd find the turn to your door. I'd keep the key and stand happily on your shore. If I could I'd find the turn to your door. Sing my love, sing me so far Sing my love, over the stars Sing my love, sing happy again Sing my love, make the magic begin Pretty pink bows on her knees. snaps her stockings so nobody sees. Stands again to a start a new week double shifts and malted's complete. Claps her hands in the car to a beat well tonight she's coming here to eat. She's loving driving the long road away love's breaking, then she's speeding again. She goes walking where she wants to in the long hot summer's day. And I do not argue with her and I watch her walk away. Sometimes I possess her but the wild can't be tamed. It's like a tail that I keep chasing as I'm searching for her name. And My Lover Says, She Understands. The many hour's wages draw the blood straight from my veins as I'm dreaming of her brown hair in this Monday morning's race. I miss for the ages and the tears that can't be placed. But she's tougher than this worry that binds us to this waiting game. And My Lover Says, She Understands. She answers yes, she answers me yes she answers yes she answers yes she answers yes she answers yes. Because she's the best.

Published Mule-Go-Round Entertainment They gathered at the frown village just to hold all the joker's down but any jokers love keeps spilling from the fountain he has found, and mercy's so revealing as the rain falls on the ground come on now you can shout the sun's coming through the clouds. Greet the wonderful day, wave the fear away 'cause love's the only hope that grows, and hope's the love I've known. At first love is a feeling and a feeling can go away and may leave a lover doubting a decision he has made? And desire's so deceiving it can tempt your heart away, but lover keep your faith a choice is given grace. Greet the wonderful day, wave the fear away 'cause love's the only hope that grows, and hope's the love I've known. Greet the wonderful day, wave the fear away 'cause love's the only hope that grows, and hope's the love I've known. Speeding guitars crank out three chord processions as fast as you can take 'em, and vocals are bratty and whiny. Mostly, they sing about (surprise!) girls." - Kali Holloway

If I Give You Love - 2018 CD "Dave That's Not My Toe!" If I give you love why do you give me back such heartache? I give you love why do you give me back such heartache? She plot a course, she set it straight, measured the wind, said no to fate. She sails alone with, this life she's made, Pushes and pulls, The shore away. If I give you love why do you give me back such heartache? Npw pans and cobbles, cook at the stove, which one that's burning, he couldn't know? Unfinished women, in speckled time, lift tragic moral, life hasn't rhyme. If I give you love why do you give me back such heartache? Tonight she's burning, today he drown, and for this yearning, they never found. Until we give in, to see what's real, we'll keep denying, how we need to, feel. If I give you love why do you give me back such heartache? If I give you love why do you give me back such heartache

Glory 03:30
Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. [36] And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.[37] And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth.[38] I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men laboured, and ye are entered into their labours. Fields of white, then choose not to see... It has been said Your world is spread on the earth. Yet the blind don't agree and choose not to see for it's worth. We need help as the violence spreads Like a sword that puts hate to an end. And we're crying out for love as we're searching the skies above. Wait for the glory and this frightening story just repeats itself. We are like wandering victims, we have felt this affliction, we're in poor health. I've seen on a screen blood sin and greed and I'm shamed. Belligerence dwells in this symptom they sell called black fate. So as the hour starts to a close can't you give us some mercy to hold? And we'll wait by your well where the thorns cruelly fell. Wait for glory as this frightening story just repeats itself we are like wandering victims we have felt the affliction, we're in poor health. And I can't understand how hate could mislead every man? We're bound to a race where freedom's a trait we can't stand. Liars still speak, fools still compete and it's so hard to believe. So hard to believe. So hard to believe. Wait for the glory as this frightening story just repeats itself. We are like wandering victims we have felt the affliction, we're in poor health.

Who's your kind? Are you my kind? 'Cause she's my kind. Tomorrow morning is school. I got the Sunday night blues. They say I got all the tools Why don't you follow the rules? Don't want to be understood. All they know is bad news. We don't share the same views. "Why don't they leave me alone." There's a man over there. He's nearing sixty-nine years. He's got his toes in the sand. He's feeling all that he can. He's my kind. Is he your kind? Are you his kind? He's all right, you know that kind. Who's your kind? Well, he's my kind.

Studied with Billy Steele of Steve Perry album, Street Talk. James Snodgrass of Bangles, Super 300 Blues Band. Stanley T. Stichel, Lead Guitarist & Vocalist. Jack Sherman, Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Four Song EP Since You've Left Us Behind:
In nineteen eighty seven major label artist Walter Egan, agreed to produce four songs in a recording studio in hopes these newly recorded songs would gain radio airplay. Four songs were recorded in forty hours of studio time on sixteen tracks at the Studio Suite in Glendale CA. spending one thousand dollars.

For the lead vocal, Walter Egan used a technique he always wanted, a tape slap instead of reverb for Christmas In Hawaii stating, "Elvis Presley used this technique for Elvis Presley records." The fact that the singing was not on pitch was an obstacle to be overcome if using either a reverb or a tape slap? At the last scheduled recording session set for mixing the songs, Walter Egan said, "I have an idea first." He added the harmony vocals on the third verse of the song Christmas In Hawaii . His singing was so focused he became unaware of the time this was using for the final and only mixing session.

At the actual recording session drummer Jim Snodgrass forgot to put his snare drum in his car trunk resulting that there were over-dubbed drum, tom's, on top of drum machine tom tracks, but not over-dubbed snare drum, resulting in a very compromised effort to what the recording was supposed to sound like. A drum machine snare drum with no over dub.

All of these four songs previously had been played live by the band Missing Link featuring drummer Greg Mennie, Bass player Donna Worden, Guitarist Ken Tennesen, and Guitarist & Vocalist Thad Francis.

When for purely logistic sake Walter Egan's band members were utilized in the studio instead of the live & well rehearsed players of the Missing Link those Missing Link musicians were a bit disappointed. We played back and listened to the Walter Egan produced songs in the hallway of my house where we rehearsed. They vocalized how they wanted to be on the recordings instead of Walter Egan's musician's utilized.

These four songs comprising an EP was to be titled Since You've Left Us Behind. Walter Egan did not like the title though, and argued against it, so a four song Eponymous recording was promoted & released instead of Since You've Left Us Behind, released July 1, 1987.

Years After Since You've Left Us Behind EP:
Soon after Since You've Left Us Behind was released, drummer Greg Mennie decided to leave the Missing Link taking his drum kit out of our rehearsal space & living room to set up & join the brother of Bobbi Brat, named Mike who had an actual made for recording studio built in his own house so that Greg could keep his drums set up there. Bobbi Brat eventually developed and then died of cancer.

Missing Link bassist Donna Worden and Brent played a few acoustic gatherings with only the both of them that Donna recorded. "I just like to keep the tape running." They wanted to be a visionary styled band and produced by Jimmy Iovine who produced Tom Petty among other pro label artists. But they could not find a drummer to play for the Missing Link and eventually stopped getting together. Then a close friend whom we all had spent time with got stricken by Hodgkin's Disease Cancer. All the things that were going in a forward direction for the Missing Link were put out of an engaged gear into neutral. We took turns when needed driving her to then USC County Hospital.

Walter Egan in nineteen eighty-eight had gone on producing and recording to create some prominent achievements during the time this simultaneously was going on, him writing a great movie soundtrack for Back To The Beach starring Frankie Avalon & Annette Funicello plus nine other as yet to be released songs about beach life and changing times then. Eddie Money unfortunately for our fame sake then, was instead chosen as the performer of the main movie title of the Back To The Beach rather than Walter Egan. Walter Egan then started playing and recording with both Sara Fleetwood and the renown rock group, Spirit, Walter contributed songs of his own that Spirit performed live during his time on bass. Walter Egan further later became featured in the critically acclaimed movie, Boogie Nights. Over a decade had passed since Brent Beck first meeting Walter Egan in nineteen eighty three & the time span that led to Boogie Nights. Professional anticipation of getting again major label attention.

Further Bio: Missing Link: United States
Label: Muted Piano Keys Music
Bio: "Making a musical recording or performance is a lot like a play. Learn your instrument parts & then integrate your sounds. These 4-track recording's here, consist mainly of two guitar and vocal. Anyone else can add a bass, keyboard, drum parts, or a proper vocal, as they please! My writing consisting of metered verse, songwriting, & a music library catalog from nineteen seventy seven until present.

"While working with Walter Egan in the eighties, was fortunate enough to get some enormous tips from the late Randy California of the r'n'r group, Spirit. Many notes shared from Randy, such as Jimi Hendrix used to tune his guitar to the key of, "C." Also, that the "Spirit sound is mainly achieved by plugging the guitar into a bass amplifier instead of a guitar amplifier." At Walter Egan's The Lost Album Sessions, Randy California played his Jackson guitar for the lead on a Walter Egan song called, "Invisible Man." Randy California also expressed his advice about preparation for performing stating, "Turn on" for the stage and then "turn off" when leaving. Randy also insisted to always warm up before a performance with scales & finger exercises. Photos found on compact disc Walter Egan The Lost Album, on the Renaissance label.

In nineteen eighty, while in high school Brent Beck worked in a road crew for the Robbie Rist Band who performed frequently at the Troubador, Hollywood. Touring, Robbie Rist opened for Jamie James' Kingbees, Brian Wild & Livewire/B. Wild, Robbie Krieger of the Doors for the Helena Springs Band.

The Missing Link played and performed with members listed above from 1986 to 1988.

The Quest played together from 1988 to 1991. Members of The Quest: Jim Stokes, Lead Guitar; Bob Stokes, Bass Guitar; Thaddeus M. Francis, Lead Vocalist & Guitar; Rick Casono, Drums; Brent Alan Beck, Guitar.

"I am told my Grandmother on my mother's side, was a piano player. My Granddad born in 1888, Knoxville TN. The family spans from the Ozark Mountains area. My own mother had her go at wonderful piano playing, where I would watch her playing, me being knee high, starting in about 1966 or so. She used to have composer bust's, that were about the size of salt shaker's on the piano, I especially remember Beetohven & Bach. I asked her; even way back then somehow; if she wrote her own material. So she used perform a song of her own she called, The Train Song. I learned about what piano run's were, being similar to guitar patterns or guitar scales & a few other things."

Brent's mother would play the piano so hard, this resulting from her personal struggles that she'd break the piano strings inside the piano, whereby Brent Beck named his publishing company, Muted Keys Music BMI/ASCAP.

They used to have chorus in school, and in the 4th grade a harmonica was given him as a gift & he learned the songs in the songbook especially Alphabet Song, identically called, Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star. To Brent this was a valuable songwriting lesson for defining what songwriting is, he realized years later. Being intrigued how both songs of different words consisted of an exact same melody. He played the harmonica in front of the class in the 5th grade for show & tell. To this day he never learned how to play chords on a harmonica, only notes. Many tunes that Brent Beck write's revolve around major scales, not as much blues scales.

Brent Beck as young as five years old also learned guitar on a Rickenbacher copy, labeled "Ryder" kept by his family in their linen closet playing Deep Purple's, Smoke On The Water and also plucking out on the high strings, Aerosmiths, Dream On.

His dad took him took to a guitar store in nineteen seventy six. Now, Be-Bop Records, Reseda. He was in the eight grade and also started writing metered verse. He started composing that year using that both guitars.

"Playing the guitar was so intimidating though, that I favored, writing verse instead. So I had a lot of verse from the 8th grade, on. I, later, put a lot of that verse to music. Songs that exist to this day. I had original songs in the tenth grade, if not sooner. In the 11th grade I became a roadie for the Robbie Rist Group. I had also been attending concerts for a while then, saw the Beach Boys now famed 77' New Years show. Being with Robbie Rist gave me an exciting inside look on the stuff and magic, happening in the late nineteen seventies when sixties music was making a small revival being comparable to some few New Wave bands. Magic is a good & applicable word to describe that whole thing. You cannot walk out of your house at any given year by chance and find the same music being performed. Those live shows were incredible. They were so, incredible, that I was, so intimidated, that I wouldn't show my music or metered verse to anyone, or especially some of the professional acts that Robbie Rist opened up for then. I finally did share those poems & verse.

The year immediately after he graduated high school his mother obtained ovarian cancer. His mother lived with ovarian cancer for two years.

Brent Beck wrote the words to Christmas in Hawaii in Moorpark, CA in nineteen eighty two. In nineteen eighty five, put music to it. "The result was for the first time, objectively to my ear, that this music demands to be heard by someone else other than friends or neighbors."

The track was later recorded by & produced by Columbia records artist Walter Egan.
